The plant will generate 145 gigawatt hours (GWh) of electricity annually, enough to power 20,690 households and offset 72,700 tons of carbon dioxide emission each year. In addition to that, a total of 535 jobs were created during the PV plant construction and more than 15 new jobs are expected to be created for operations and maintenance during the upcoming 20 year<span id=\"spanHghltc693\">s\u00a0<\/span><span id=\"spanHghlt15d7\">the\u00a0plant is in operation<\/span>.\u00a0Canadian Solar\u00a0will provide\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadiansolar.com\/energy-solutions\/om-services.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">operations and maintenance services<\/a>\u00a0to the plant.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 0px 0px 10px; color: #77777a; text-transform: none; text-indent: 0px; letter-spacing: normal; font-family: 'Noto Sans', Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; font-style: normal; font-weight: 400; word-spacing: 0px; white-space: normal; box-sizing: border-box; orphans: 2; widows: 2; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.9); font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; text-decoration-style: initial; text-decoration-color: initial;\">Dr.\u00a0Shawn Qu, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of\u00a0Canadian Solar\u00a0commented, &#8220;Achieving commercial operations for the\u00a0Aguascalientes\u00a0project is a significant milestone for\u00a0Canadian Solar. We have a remaining pipeline of 368 MWp of solar projects in\u00a0Mexico\u00a0with awarded power purchase agreements.
