{"id":1844,"date":"2026-04-02T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-02T01:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadiansolar-energy.co.jp\/en\/news_release\/?p=1844"},"modified":"2026-04-02T16:03:59","modified_gmt":"2026-04-02T07:03:59","slug":"e-storage-to-deliver-420-mwh-battery-energy-storage-system-for-drax-in-the-united-kingdom","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadiansolar-energy.co.jp\/en\/news_release\/2026\/1844.html","title":{"rendered":"e-STORAGE to Deliver 420 MWh Battery Energy Storage System for Drax in the United Kingdom"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>KITCHENER, ON,\u00a0March 31, 2026\u00a0\/PRNewswire\/ &#8212;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadiansolar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Canadian Solar Inc.<\/a>\u00a0(the &#8220;Company&#8221; or &#8220;Canadian Solar&#8221;) (NASDAQ: CSIQ) today announced that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/csestorage.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">e-STORAGE<\/a>, its energy storage solutions business, will deliver a total of 420 MWh AC of battery energy storage systems for Drax Group (&#8220;Drax&#8221;), a leading\u00a0UK\u00a0renewable energy company, across two projects in the\u00a0United Kingdom.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The projects include a 60 MW \/ 120 MWh AC installation in\u00a0Marfleet,\u00a0England, and a 150 MW \/ 300 MWh AC installation in Neilston,\u00a0Scotland. Both projects are being developed by Apatura, a\u00a0UK\u00a0energy infrastructure company specializing in large-scale battery storage and enabling digital infrastructure. The projects have been acquired by Drax and will become part of Drax&#8217;s FlexGen portfolio. Battery installations are scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026 at the\u00a0Marfleet\u00a0site, with the Neilston project expected to start installations in early 2027.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Under the agreements, e-STORAGE will supply a fully integrated and commissioned battery energy storage system, including its\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/csestorage.com\/solbank-3-0\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SolBank 3.0<\/a>\u00a0energy storage batteries. e-STORAGE will also provide operational services for the project under a long-term service agreement (LTSA) covering monitoring, preventative maintenance, and performance analytics.<br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The combined system supply and long-term service support are designed to ensure consistent operational availability across the lifecycle of the asset.
