{"id":547,"date":"2020-08-17T14:47:31","date_gmt":"2020-08-17T05:47:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadiansolar-energy.co.jp\/en\/news_release\/?p=547"},"modified":"2020-10-01T10:29:41","modified_gmt":"2020-10-01T01:29:41","slug":"canadian-solar-starts-construction-of-a-10-mwp-solar-power-plant-in-germany","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadiansolar-energy.co.jp\/en\/news_release\/2020\/547.html","title":{"rendered":"CANADIAN SOLAR STARTS CONSTRUCTION OF A 10 MWP SOLAR POWER PLANT IN GERMANY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GUELPH, ON,\u00a0Aug. 4, 2020\u00a0\/PRNewswire\/ &#8212;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.canadiansolar.com\/\">Canadian Solar Inc.<\/a>\u00a0(&#8220;Canadian Solar&#8221; or the &#8220;Company&#8221;) (NASDAQ: CSIQ) announced today it commenced the construction of the 10\u00a0MWp Gro\u00df Siemz solar power plant in\u00a0Germany.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The project is located on an 11-hectare area next to the highway A20 Gro\u00df Siemz, near the city Sch\u00f6nberg in\u00a0Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania,\u00a0Northern Germany.\u00a0Canadian Solar\u00a0is the turnkey solutions provider for the PV plant, responsible for most of the project execution including the design, engineering, procurement and construction, and will be powering the solar plant with over 22,900 pieces of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadiansolar.com\/hiku\/\">Canadian Solar\u00a0high-efficiency mono-PERC modules<\/a>.\u00a0GS Solar GmbH &amp; Co. KG, the customer and project owner, will connect the plant to the grid in\u00a0October 2020\u00a0and\u00a0Canadian Solar\u00a0will provide the operations &amp; maintenance (&#8220;O&amp;M&#8221;) services.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Once operational, the PV plant will generate approximately 10 GWh of clean and reliable solar energy annually, enough to meet the needs of over 3,000 households.
