Bhd. and\u00a0Eleaps Sdn. Bhd. The 5 MWp project will span an area of over 26,000 m<sup>2<\/sup>, and is located in\u00a0Penang, Malaysia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 5 MWp power purchase agreement was signed with\u00a0Muda Paper Mills Sdn Bhd\u00a0(&#8220;Muda Paper&#8221;), a subsidiary of Muda Holdings Berhad, listed on the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad since\u00a0November 1984\u00a0(KLSE: 3883). Muda Paper is the largest industrial-grade paper producer in\u00a0Malaysia. The project will be powered by 13,000 pieces of\u00a0Canadian Solar&#8217;s\u00a0high-efficiency\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.canadiansolar.com\/ku\/\">KuMax\u00a0modules<\/a>. Once in operation, the plant is expected to generate approximately 6,700 MWh of clean, reliable solar electricity each year for 25 years. The Company expects the project to reach commercial operation by the end 2020.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/shawnqu\/\">Dr.\u00a0Shawn Qu<\/a>, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of\u00a0Canadian Solar, commented, &#8220;This transaction marks our first corporate solar PPA in\u00a0Southeast Asia.
