{"id":836,"date":"2021-09-10T16:55:58","date_gmt":"2021-09-10T07:55:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/canadiansolar-energy.co.jp\/en\/news_release\/?p=836"},"modified":"2021-09-10T16:55:58","modified_gmt":"2021-09-10T07:55:58","slug":"canadian-solar-signs-operations-maintenance-agreements-with-solar-plus-battery-storage-projects-in-the-u-s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/canadiansolar-energy.co.jp\/en\/news_release\/2021\/836.html","title":{"rendered":"CANADIAN SOLAR SIGNS OPERATIONS &#038; MAINTENANCE AGREEMENTS WITH SOLAR PLUS BATTERY STORAGE PROJECTS IN THE U.S."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>GUELPH, ON,\u00a0Sept. 7, 2021\u00a0\/PRNewswire\/ &#8212;\u00a0<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.canadiansolar.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Canadian Solar Inc.<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>(the &#8220;Company&#8221;, or &#8220;Canadian Solar&#8221;) (NASDAQ: CSIQ) today announced that it has signed long-term Operations &amp; Maintenance (O&amp;M) agreements with two solar PV plus battery storage projects in the\u00a0U.S., namely, the Slate and Mustang projects which were both developed by\u00a0Canadian Solar&#8217;s\u00a0subsidiary\u00a0<span style=\"color: #993300;\"><a style=\"color: #993300;\" href=\"http:\/\/recurrentenergy.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Recurrent Energy<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and are currently owned by\u00a0Goldman Sachs Asset Management Renewable Power\u00a0(Goldman Sachs).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The agreements cover the full\u00a0Slate Project, which is a 300 MWac solar plant designed with a 140 MW \/ 561 MWh battery energy storage system; and the storage component of the\u00a0Mustang Project, which is a 100 MWac solar plant retrofitted with a 75 MW \/ 300 MWh battery storage system. Both projects are located in\u00a0Kings County, California. Under the long-term agreements,\u00a0Canadian Solar\u00a0will be responsible for various O&amp;M obligations across both projects, including plant monitoring, NERC registration, performance management and preventative and corrective maintenance.\u00a0Canadian Solar\u00a0services will help to increase site availability, minimize downtime and maximize the value of the projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>These contracts further solidify\u00a0Canadian Solar&#8217;s\u00a0position as a leading solar and energy storage O&amp;M provider. The Company now boasts with a global O&amp;M portfolio of nearly 4 GWp of solar and 860 MWh of storage projects under contract across nine countries, of which 2.3 GWp of solar projects are currently in operation. These projects include both\u00a0Canadian Solar\u00a0as well as third-party developed projects.
